Friends of Lower Haddon
We have started a new group for all our wonderful volunteers and helpers as we couldn't do what we do without you! If you would like to help at any of our events, please get in touch. It is really useful if you could let us know if you have any experience ie dressage writing/judging etc and anything you do NOT want to do ie stewarding etc. We are looking at ways to reward our helpers so please let us know of any ideas you have too.
Friends will also get priority notice of any events or DIY livery spaces that we have coming up or might come available. Please let us know if you have relevant qualifications such as First Aid and age if under 18. We also welcome ideas for new events / competitions and of course are always keen to hear about new sponsors! Many thanks.
Some Comments on our latest ODE
Absolutely loved my first ODE, everyone is always so very positive and helpful. Well done Jane Dudley and Clare Goldie that must have taken quite a bit of organising, not to mention the stress of the day. It went fabulously, all credit to you and everyone who helps with these events, too many to mention here. Lower Haddon is a wonderful venue for everyone to enjoy. Well done xx - Sam W
Everything people have previously posted and more. It's been a while since I did a ODE and now of aged years (my horse and I total 74 years!) and following a broken wrist at our last XC play it was a superb, friendly and supportive environment. Thank you to all the organisers, helpers and competitors. - Louisa B
Thank you Jane Dudley, Clare Goldie and your amazing crew of helpers who are too numerous to list. I have had such a great experience today attempting my first ODE. I don't think I have come across a nicer bunch of competitors who were so genuinely nice to everyone, wishing strangers good luck and complementing riders on their efforts. It was a great atmosphere and so enjoyable with smiles from all. A massive well done to you all. - Ann S

All your hard work so appreciated. You are all so welcoming and supportive and there’s something for everyone to take part in whatever their level of riding! Thank you so much - Shirley R
Loved it, really looking forward to the next one. Met some really supportive people and enjoyed the cheeseburgers and hot chocolate from Moniques Kitchen. Thank you xx - Sam R
We appreciate how much you all put into it, and we loved coming over. It was so good to have something to aim for and keep us ticking over in the winter months. A huge thank you - Clare ER
